Every trailer must have safety chains. Safety chains connect from the trailer to the tow vehicle hitch receiver. The purpose of the chains are for emergency disconnects while traveling. In a situation where the trailer becomes detached from the tow vehicle, the safety chains will hold onto the trailer.
Which safety chains should I use?
Confirm chain link diameter, length and trailer gross weight, before ordering. Remember, each chain has its own weight rating. Both chains combined must be greater than trailer gross weight.
